Robotic Process Automation

Robotic Process Automation is the technology that allows you to configure a software based robot to mimic and integrate the actions of a human interacting within digital systems to execute a business process. RPA Software based robots utilize the user interface to capture data and manipulate applications just like humans do. They interpret, trigger responses and communicate with other systems in order to perform on a vast variety of repetitive tasks. Once configured and trained, RPA software robot never sleeps and makes zero mistakes.

How is it different from traditional process automation tools?

Traditional IT process automation solutions are human centric, time consuming and less efficient. RPA allows organizations to automate at a fraction of the cost and time previously encountered. RPA is also non-intrusive in nature and leverages the existing infrastructure without causing disruption to underlying systems, which would be difficult and costly to replace. With RPA, cost efficiency and compliance are no longer an operating cost but a byproduct of the automation.

What are the use cases to get started?

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a software technology that allows for the automation of various computer tasks or computer-based business processes. If you have ever found yourself spending a significant amount of time on the computer completing repetitive, manual, low-value tasks or projects that require more work from your hands than your brain, it may be time to consider using Robotic Process Automation software. Example: Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable in Finance Department, CRM integration with ERP systems, Excel spreadhsheet based data management.

How it Works

AI chatbots are absolutely fascinating – and they are right on the front lines of artificial intelligence and human intelligence. Today’s AI chatbots can do it all, from helping you order a pizza to guiding you through a complex B2B sales process.

Rules-based chatbot software executes pre-determined actions based on “playbooks” you set up on the back end of the user interface. Much like a virtual assistant, rules-based chatbot technology can act based on clicks actions, such as “Yes” vs. “No”, or by recognizing a particular keyword or group of keywords. For example, you could set up a rules-based chatbot to respond if someone selects “Red” or “Green” but also if they respond with “I want red shoes” and your target keyword is “red shoes”.

A.I. chatbots use artificial intelligence & natural language processing technology to understand sentence's structure, then process that information & progressively get better at answering the question at hand. Learn more about AI Chatbots here.

Instead of relying on a pre-determined outcome designed by a human, AI chatbots first understand what your question is:

Then once they understand your intent, they deliver an answer that they think is the right answer based on existing data. Over time, and by observing correct & incorrect answers, the machine gets better at understanding what the ‘right’ answer is (think Apple’s Siri, Google Assistant, Amazon’s Alexa). This is why AI chatbots, although powerful, aren’t right for everyone because they require a training period, and generally require more effort to get started. However, once they understand your business well, they can be incredibly powerful.

Live Chat is a chat technology that sits on your website or product and acts as a window to your team for your customer. Live chat software has some routing capability to assign real-time conversations, but overall, it’s pretty simple. When someone wants to talk, and your team is online, live chat connects someone from your team to help address that person’s issue.
